Doorknobs and Camellias

Back home in Charleston, things are back to usual.  I so enjoy my daily walks on the peninsula; I try to find something new every time.  This week it was this little doorknob on the side of a house.  I like to think that perhaps it's not a doorknob at all, but it has some long-lost historical purpose.

Such a cute path.  I would love to wind my way back there daily, wouldn't you?

I love seeing the all the different camellias around town this time of year.  They are such a cheery sight on a cold winter's morning.  (Although lately, it hardly feels like winter at all.)

This guy reminds me of the wonderful lab I had growing up.  He looked just like this and got into far more than his fair share of trouble as a pup, but mellowed into the most wonderful old dog in the world.
